Who knew what a difference 5lbs could make?
Exercise: None yet today other than trips across the hall but I'm hoping to have time for some this evening.
So a few weeks ago PIBs called me up and he had made mention of how thin I looked and that he had only just noticed it when we went skating. Well, later that day, I had gone in to talk to my supervisor about something and she comes right out with the question, "How much weight have you lost?" HUH? I told her none that I knew of but then again I don't own a scale. She then made some comment about how thin I looked. I told her I had been increasing my workouts and my body was sort of reshaping itself because of that but I didn't think I had actually dropped any pounds. This past Saturday I went to get my haircut and even my hair guy made mention of how trim I looked. He also said something to the effect of liking the fact that I had a healthy pale color to my skin. lol
Anyway, on Sunday I took Mr & Mrs PIBs to my parents' house so they could park their car there while they attended a concert at the balloon field rather than trying to deal with the nightmare parking situation at the venue and having to pay. As it turned out, my sister hosted our Mother's day lunch at her house (oh and let me just say after dealing with the crowded mess out by my parents house and stuff, I can see why my mom didn't want to stick around LOL) but before I left my parents' house, I went in and weighed myself just to see if I had lost any weight. Turns out, I'm down five. I was kind of surprised actually. I mean I know my clothes have started fitting better but given the amount of muscle I've gained, I figured that would make up for the amount of fat gone. Ah well, it's not like I'm going to complain about it. Of course the downside is that I seem to have further increased the gap between my waist and hip measurements which absolutely sucks. I had a hard enough time trying to find pants that would fit before - now it seems to be even worse. According to size charts from most of the places I shop, my bust and waist are anywhere from a size 2 to a 4 while my hips usually fall in the 8 to 10 range meaning if I buy pants to fit my ass, I end up having a good two to three inches bunched up around my waist. ARGH! Sure I could take the shit to a tailor but knowing what I do about alterations, I don't think it would be possible to make them look good just because the difference is so big. Of course it would help if manufacturers would stop making their shit to fit women who are built like little boys. UGH! *RE*
Otay, nothing for the something different files today as I just don't have the time.
Til next time....
