Tuesday Tirade
Exercise: 180 crunches, 60 leg lifts, 30 push ups, and 30 squats. As much as I hoped, the running things just didn't happen last night. Too much drizzle spit coming out of the sky for my liking.
There's nothing like a morning full of idiots when I'm getting a cold to bring out the snarky side of me.
It seems some asshole of a cold thought it needed to start setting up house (speaking of which - he's on tonight - YIPPIE!!! Sorry couldn't help myself - back to the story hehe) in my bod yesterday. It began with a slight cough but now the bastard must be running water and flushing the toilet because my nose won't stop dripping. It could, of course, be worse and I think there's maybe only been twice in my life when I've had a cold that put me down for a day but it's annoying all the same.
What's kind of strange about it all is that Chi has had a nasty little bug for the past few weeks and I've managed to avoid it all this time. I was really beginning to think I might be able to escape unscathed but obviously that didn't happen. I have a feeling though whatever I got didn't come from Chi. More than likely, I got it from the damn drinking fountain at the skating rink. Last week there was a session made up of quite a few ankle biters right before the one I was there for. Kids are great but let's face it, they do some pretty disgusting things particularly when it comes to water fountains that even holding the button down to let the water run before taking a drink won't fully safeguard against.
I'd like to give a shout out to the person in building 7 who is once again parking their car on the main street that comes back into our section of the neighborhood. Thanks a lot you FUCKER! It's bad enough having to drive around your pile of shit especially since people like to drive on the wrong fucking side of the road around where I live but it's even worse when you have snow coming down and icy streets to contend with. I saw there was some nice drift action going on around your ride so with any hope that shit will be half way up the side of it by the time you come out to leave causing you to have to dig for oh say and hour or so. BASTARD!
Now to the chick in the blue Cavalier who insisted on driving right next to me this morning when I was coming around on the mix master where the road is a banked curve and a bridge no less - SHIT OR GET OFF THE POT WOMAN!!! You know, I'm comfortable with my driving skills in winter weather. Hell, I had to take my final drive for driver's ed in a blizzard, however, some of the other people out on the road really fuckin scare me. This chic was one of them. I mean it's one thing to drive side by side in the area where we were on a dry day but when it's snowy and very icy - YAH RIGHT! All I needed was for her to spin out or something. It also wouldn't have been so bad had she stayed in her own fuckin lane but she insisted on using part of mine too which means she was only inches away from me instead of feet. BITCH!
I got a call from SHL today. If you will remember from an earlier post, this is the helpdesk woman that has been trying to solve an issue with a financial planning tool we use here in the office. Help is the last thing this woman offers. Today she called to confirm an account number and when I gave her the information she asked for, she basically told me that the number I gave her couldn't possibly be the right one. Ok bitch, if it isn't, then why the hell did you call me? Oh and get this, what she was confirming was something that she had only been given three times prior but for one reason or another no longer had.
If that wasn't enough, she then proceeded to try and tell me what I was seeing on my screen wasn't there. Um yah right WHATEVER! I sent you a fuckin screen shot that shows exactly what I'm telling you you stupid bitch. I swear this woman will argue any point even if you have proof to the contrary. The most scary part of it all....she's supposed to be one of the best people for solving these sorts of issues. YIKES!!!
Well, that about does it for today. Once again, I have nothing for the "something differen't files". Tomorrow is Valentine's Day (also the 8th anniversary of the day Chi and I got married) so I won't be posting. Tune in Thursday for the latest happenings.
