Memo to the neighborhood dumb fuck & snow removal team

Exercise: 180 crunches, 60 leg lifts, 30 push ups, 30 squats. YAY me!

So this past weekend we had a nasty little storm that moved through the area bringing with it thunder, lightning, rain, ice, and yes, you guessed it, snow. Many people in the state experienced power outages and the governor ended up declaring a state of emergency. Chi and I, however, came through it pretty much unscathed. Our power never went out and luckily, we didn't have to go anywhere. Well, not until Monday morning which, although it was after the storm had passed through, was bad enough considering what we had to deal with.

That brings me up to the title of today's post.

First off, to the neighborhood dumb fuck living in #701 who obviously doesn't read the monthly newsletter put out by the association and hasn't yet learned what a garage/driveway is for - consider yourself reported. I've really fuckin had it with trying to navigate around your piece of crap Saab (Polk Country License 915 PIF) in the morning on my way to work. Once again you left your stupid fucking car out on the street during a goddamn snow storm making it nearly impossible for people to drive around. At least this time we got enough snow that after the plowing was done, your ride was completely drifted in. Good luck with the dig out asshole! Hopefully once the property management company receives my complaint, they will come and tow your shit away then maybe you'll learn your lesson fucker!

Now to the snow removal people. Who the hell trained you how to do your job??? Whomever the hell it was obviously had their head shoved so far up his or her ass he or she couldn't see daylight let alone what he or she was doing given the total shit attempt made at plowing our neighborhood streets. It would be one thing if your services were free but they're not. Chi and I pay over $100/month to the association on top of our mortgage just like every other homeowner in our area to cover the cost of what you do. The thing is, you do such a poor job that I don't even know why we are paying you. First of all, you start your clearing when the snow is still coming down and blowing around - yah does a lot of good dipshit. Next, you then come back when the storm is over for another go round and stuff is starting to turn slushy. Rather than making a good effort, you clear enough area down the middle of the drive for one car (yah, real useful when you park two cars in the garage - one on each side and can't drive down the middle). Then, you make a feeble attempt to clear the street leaving big ridges of slush everywhere which freeze overnight and become big ice piles by the next morning. Um, just for your information, not everyone drives a fuckin truck that sits two feet off the ground and can easily straddle said ice mounds you redneck. Oh and good fucking job only leaving a clearing wide enough for one car where the road bends around. Real fuckin brilliant. Next time I suggest maybe using a little salt. Believe it or not, it's fairly cheap (I should know since I work for a food broker that has a salt client) and it usually works quite well for those stubborn ice patches too.

What really sucks is that we're supposed to get another storm tomorrow which is similar to the one that we had this past weekend. What's worse is the streets in my neighborhood still aren't completely clear and I just know more shit on top of it is only going to make things worse when it comes to the plowing skills (or lack thereof) of these dumbasses. UGH!

And now for something competely different....

Sometimes the stupidity people display when posting on the MySpace political forum truly amazes me. There's this one woman on there (her ID is DJ and you can find her profile here) and I swear she's not only missing something upstairs when it comes to intelligence, she comes off as just a little psychotic which is probably an understatement. What's worse is politically she's on the left and totally gives Liberals a bad name. She's definitely one person the blue team could do without. UGH!

The particular thread that just put me over the edge when it comes to her stupidity had to do with an article about a German couple who got into legal trouble for homeschooling their daughter. The article specifically stated that the girl had fallen behind in her studies so the couple were tutoring her at home. Now to everyone I know and those who were all posting in this thread (that is everyone but DJ), we took it to mean that the reason her parents were teaching her at home was because she was having trouble at school. Dumb dumb DJ, however, insisted that it meant that the girl was falling behind because she was studying at home. Of course I guess that's to be expected from someone who thinks homeschooling shouldn't be allowed because parents might indoctrinate their kids with only the teachings of the religious right rather than presenting both sides and letting the kid choose. WHATEVER!

Here's a snipit of the interaction I had with her after she decided to rag on a fifteen year old homeschooled kid who posts under the name Lil Moe.

Lil Moe said: I am homeschooled and most kids I meant say I am so lucky.

DJ said: a. this sentence doesn't speak volumes about your education b. that explains a lot of your posts. you're a good example of my point.

I see when one of you idiots tell a 15 year old that no woman will ever want him, that's just find and you defend her, but I point out that a 15 year old homeschool kid is just repeating what his parents are indoctrinating him with and I'm evil. Oh please.

and also pointed out to him that defending his education with a very badly constructed sentence was not the best way to do it.

The Fashion Diva said: So DJ tell me, does the fact that you made the same sort of grammatical error as Lil Moe (see bolded items) speak volumes about your education too? Based on your so called logic, it would seem that your public education sucked just as much as his homeschooling eh? *RE*

Lil Moe said: Are you in one of those teacher unions? Because I don't see whats wrong with my parents teaching me. My dad got a degree in Mathamatics and Computer science, my mom degree is in English.

DJ said: Honey, your parents may have good educations, but that doesn't mean they're good teachers.

Funny how you make a huge assumption about me. Sounds like youre parents are teaching you the mantra well.

If you're mother has a degree in english, she'd be upset at your grammatical skills. At 15 my kids were much better writers. They'd never say my dad got a degree, they'd say my dad has a degree or received a degree. But what the heck, my kids were educated an in real schools and so was I. I guess we don't know the new grammar.

The Fashion Diva said: Oh for crying out loud! Obviously the fact that for the first five yars of a child's life, their parents are their greatest teachers has escaped you. Even after they go to school, their parents do still play a very important part in learning.

My God, it's because my father sat down with me when I was little that I was able to learn math three years beyond what I was being taught in public school. If anything, he was a BETTER teacher because I was his daughter and he knew the best method of presenting the material so I could easily understand and retain it.

Kudos to you if your kids are in public school where the teachers know their shit and do a good job. The sad fact of the matter is, not all schools are like that. There are many which have teachers who, in my opinion, have no business being in front of a classroom because they suck that bad. Yes, there are some parents out there who probably shouldn't be teaching either but seeing as it's their kid, I think the choice should be left up to them (not you) as to what is in their child's best interest.

DJ said: I'm still trying to figure out what he was saying. WTF WAS he saying?

The Fashion Diva said: Are you really that dense? The word meant should have been meet. DUH!

DJ said: I see...Interesting. Kids (who generally don't like going to school) think he's lucky for not having to go to school....

(shaking head sadly)

and um, mistyping a d instead of an e is an easy typo, changing meet to meant? tupo? probably. As easily made as mistyping a single letter? no....

A teacher would have corrected him on it if he turned in a paper like that. Especially if it were one saying he was better educated because he was homeschooled. And it wasn't the only grammatical error he's made in his posts.

The Fashion Diva said: Of course they would. To an "outsider" it looks like it would be much easier to goof off. What they don't tend to realize is that if done correctly, it would be just as structured as a regular school and, in some cases, the parent might be more likely to be harder on the child than a teacher at a public school.

Um, whether it be a typo of a letter or a word, a teacher would dock points for the mistake. And yes, it is just as easily done especially if you are thinking faster than you're typing. I was an A student and have been known to do it every once in a while and I'm sure you have too. Until the day comes when you are perfect (which it won't by the way) lay off and stop being so petty.

Good God, you couldn't even understand the point in the original post concerning the fact that the girl in question was being homeschooled because she had fallen behind in her studies at school. I swear you're the only one that didn't comprehend it that way. *RE*

DJ said:
Um, again where did it say that? If you go by that single sentence which is the only place it mentions it, she was falling behind. And it mentioned tutoring because she was falling behind in her homeschooling?

But of course because I interpreted it differently than you, I'm stupid. Just like the attacks on the other 15 year olds on these forums is fine and justified, while some criticism of one that agrees with you is the equivalent of child abuse.

All the other hypocrites ran away. Are you really that stupid to defend something as ridiculous as this?

After her last post, I just couldn't bring myself to answer her. Her idiocy proved to be way too much for me and it was quite obvious to me that this woman's IQ had to be less than anything walking on two legs.

Well, that about does it for today.

Til next time...
