House has returned and all is well

Exercise: 180 crunches, 60 leg lifts, 30 squats, and 30 push ups. Damn this cold weather! I want to be able to get back outside and run.

Well, because Medicom and Sinclair finally decided to work out their issues with each other, my Fox channel is back and I was able to enjoy my first episode of House in weeks. I also did watch American Idol although I don't know why. Oh wait, that's right....there was nothing else on and it was too butt cold to go out and run. Now AI I can live without (there's only so many times you can watch people make fools of themselves then be verbally abused by judges before you get bored), but House is much harder to forgo. I absolutely love his sardonic wit paired with his extraordinary problem solving skills.

And now for something completely different....

My mom has this vegetarian cookbook that she loaned to me awhile back. I copied quite a few of the receipes into the database I keep on my computer (yes, I know that's being too organized - piss off!). Anyway, lately I've been cooking a lot of these dishes and I have to say they are pretty damn good. Even stuff I wasn't sure if I would like or not was tasty although I will admit there is one recipe that's supposed to be kind of like a pasta salad with fresh tomato and olives which I actually cook even though the receipe doesn't say to. I don't really care for tomatoes but they're not so bad when cooked (even better when in ketchup hehe). Anyway, I have got to say that this is some of the best damn pasta sauce I think I've ever had. What's even better is that the recipe usually makes quite a bit so there are leftovers and it's fairly healthy since it's made from fresh ingredients and doesn't have any added salt or sugar like that nasty canned stuff. Oh and the simplicity is great. I mean the most time consuming bit is actually cutting up the tomatoes and cooking the pasta. Mmmmm just thinking about it makes me want some. :)

Otay, that be it for today.

Til next time...
