Oh happy day!!!
Exercise: Nothing more than a couple of bathroom trips so far since I'm at work once again. I did, however, get in a 3 mile run last night and hopefully another this evening since it's supposed to be nice once again.
So this has got to be THE BEST day after elections in my voting history. The US finally told Dubya where he can stick his partisan rule. Iowa also made me proud by going completely Blue this time around. Now that the Dems have their chance, I'm hoping they use it wisely. I will say that I was a little sad that my district didn't vote in a Dem but then again, I live in what I would call "Pub Country" and well, the guy who was running was not only kind of an unknown going against an incumbent but also about as effective as watching paint dry when it comes to public speaking. Given these factors, I pretty much knew at the outset Spencer just wasn't going to make the cut.
If this wasn't enough to make me a happy chappette, pulling up CNN's homepage this lunch hour only sweetened the pot because Rummy stepped down - FINALLY!!! It appears the old codger actually got the hint. The downside, however, is that Dubya is the one picking the replacement. Given the last few choices he's made, it's hard to say what the new guy might do but at least Rummy is outta there.
And now for a "YAY!" that's completely different....
This past Friday I finally broke down and purchased some new clothes. More often than not, I'm not overly fond of clothes shopping because I rarely find anything I like and when I do, lots of times stuff just doesn't fit right because it's made for women who are built like guys rather than actual women. It would seem (fingers crossed here) that I may have lucked out this time. Bebe and Victoria's Secret both have quite a few things I like and the things they sell usually tend to fit me without too much trouble. From what it looks like, both my orders should be delivering today and I'm really looking forward to them. What's even better is that I'm going to KC in just over a week and they have an actual Bebe shop there so I might be able to pick up a few more things. That is of course if my pocketbook doesn't object. This place is a little more expensive than some but I have to say based on the few items I already have from there, it's well worth the money. :)
Otay kiddies, lunch is over so I must be on me way.
