Kick out the vote muthafuckers!

Exercise: Very little at the moment other than walking from my desk to the bathroom or one of the BDMs' offices and back since I'm at work. :P I'm hoping for at least a two mile run and some floor exercises later though especially since it's supposed to be a nice day.

I still haven't finished writing my post about the adventures TBB and I had in Moline along with the observances I've made regarding what I would call some rather over zealous fans. So much to say....so little time. lol Anyway, I do hope to have it out within the next couple of day but in the meantime, I wanted to just put out a little reminder for everyone to vote. Let's get the backward thinkers out of there and get this country back on track!

Now in another bit of political news which is now kinda old but I still want to address, I have to send out a big SHAME ON YOU! to Rush Limbaugh. Over the years I've heard some pretty quack things uttered from this guy's lips but his statements about Michael J Fox and the campaign ad he did went WAY too far! Not to mention they only go to show just how "Lush" likes to shoot his mouth off without really knowing the facts before doing so. Oh and that so called apology that he issued later - PATHETIC! In fact it wasn't even an apology since he stated if he was wrong. Give me a break! I have a feeling he wouldn't admit his mistake even if shown undeniable proof of it. Oh hey doo doo head...I find it funny how when it comes to something you don't agree with you will say things like voters are being mislead to think that their vote for a single US senator has direct impact on stem cell research in Missouri but it doesn't and won't yet when it involves something you support, you're all over it telling people to vote for a change. Yah whatever dipshit. Sometimes one is all that is needed.

I think what's even more absurd about all the press surrounding MJF are the people saying he's exploiting his illness and just trying to get liberals ahead. First of all, I don't know one person who wouldn't do what he's doing if they were slowing dying from a disease with no cure and had the means to reach the masses in order to try and push for medical advancements to solve the problem. Second of all, I do believe MJF himself mentioned liking Arlen Specter - Not exactly a liberal by any means. What's more, the last I knew MJF is Canadian which mean the guy can't even vote and, in a way, is at the mercy of the American people when it comes to issues like embryonic stem cell research that may help to one day cure him.

Next up....The Saddam Hussein verdict.

Ok, the guy did some really horrible things, however, I don't know which is worse - the things he did or the people rejoicing over the fact that he's going to be put to death. To me, that sort of mentality is disgusting. Do I think he should be punished? Yes. Do I think it should be by death? No. This whole eye for an eye bullshit is nothing but a vicious cycle that really accomplishes nothing in the end but increasing the death toll.

Last on the politics list....Bush getting snubbed by GOP candidates up for election.

This is some really funny shit. You know it's bad when the republicans up for election don't want to share the stage with Dubya because his approval rating is so low and it might jinx them winning. The only thing that can sweeten the pot now is for the democrats to regain control which, if things go according to the polls, will happen.

Now a couple of other tidbits....

Most weekday mornings Mr. PIB will give me a call just to shoot the shit for a few minutes during his smoke break that he takes out in the parking ramp. Normally, the convos are just your usual chit chat - how you doin?, etc but there was one day not long ago when I got hit with the old YIKES! stick. He called to let me know someone had left their undies in one of the garbage cans located in the ramp. Oh if that wasn't a discussion for 8am I don't know what is. LOL I mean that's one of those train wreck situations....you really don't want to know what the story is behind it but you can't help but wonder what happened and if there is some woman out there freezing her ass off because of it. LOL

This past Saturday I went up to Ames once again to get my hair done. I know I've mentioned it before but I just have to say it again....I sooooo love my hair guy! Yet another perfect cut and highlight job. Oh and he also offered me a bottle of Voss water. For those of you who don't know, this is supposedly the purest stuff you can get and is imported from Norway. Based on what he told me, the only two places where you will find it in this area is at a nightclub in Des Moines and his salon. Honestly, I really couldn't taste that much difference and don't get what the big deal about it is but then again, I was raised on well water so I'm not used to drinking bleach like most city dwellers are. I will say, however, that the bottle it comes in is pretty cool and unique since it's tall and glass. I liked it so much that I kept it as a souvenier. Of course the funny part about it all is how we were joking about it being the water that only the snooty people drink and acting as if we were such by shoving our noses in the air. LOL

Ok, lunchtime is over so I've gotta get going. Please forgive what probably amounts to many grammatical and spelling errors as I just don't have time to check them right now.

Til next time...
