How to piss off the Diva & some other crap...
Exercise: 50 push ups, 50 leg lifts, 200 crunches, and a 2 mile run. May I just say that I think I prefer 9pm runs over 7am runs when it comes to the weather?
For the last three week we've received a phone call every Saturday morning right around 10am (a time when we are usually still sleeping) from someone calling on behalf of Stew Hansen's Dodge City (the dealer we bought the Stratus from that we no longer own). Basically they are looking to buy good condition used cars from people so they can sell them a new one.
Now the first time these people called, I figured they would get the hint when I hung up on them and not call anymore. Silly me, obviously I was wrong. The second time they called, I told them we no longer owned the car and that we weren't interested. Even that wasn't enough to get them to leave us alone because they called again this past Saturday. That alone had me a bit ticked but it was the conversation I had with the guy that just rubbed me the wrong way. I swear they must seek out people with IQs lower than 60 and completely incapable of taking a hint.
When I first answered the phone, the guy asked for Chi. I asked who was calling and what for because I figured it was some sort of solicitation and I know Chi won't take those kind of calls. That's when the guy goes through his "spcheel". Like the caller the previous week, I tell him we no longer own the Stratus and aren't interested. That wasn't enough to get this guy to go away though. He starts asking what we drive now....um yah like I'm going to give you detailed info about that buddy. Mitsubishi was all he got out of me. Of course that still wasn't enough to get him to go away. He still tries to sell me on this deal. I'm like excuse me, we just bought both of our cars less than a year ago and neither one has more than 5100 miles on it, why would we want to get rid of them? Instead of answering the question, he keeps up with his crap saying, "what if we could show you how you would make a profit?". Ok dipshit, first of all, any dealer who claims the customer is going to make a profit on selling their car back and buying a new one is full of very smelly fecal matter. Second, if we wanted to profit by selling our cars, we could very easily do that without you seeing as they both are half paid for already and one of them holds its value so well it could actually be sold for more than we purchased it for. Ok so I didn't call him dipshit for real but I did call him out on the scam which left him a little speechless. Also let him know that if we ever buy a Dodge or Mitsu again, we will be going back to the dealer we purchased our current cars from because we knew we would get a fair deal and we really liked the salesguy. That was the end of that call and hopefully any future ones from that place. *RE*
Speaking of car stuff....I rolled 5000 on mine Friday evening when I was driving to my parents' house to meet up with them and go to a play my nephew was going to be in. I have to say it was kind of bittersweet although that many miles over 8 months time is pretty good especially when you consider the fact that my Sunfire had at least three times that on it when it was the same age.
Sorry folks no "other news" tonight. Just don't have the time.
Til next time....
