Oh say can you see....

Exercise: None. Was dead tired tonight. Couldn't get to sleep last night and once I did, I woke up at 3am wide awake. Finally after about 1/2 hour of tossing and turning, I got back to sleep but then had to be up at 5:30 - YAWN!

The ignorance and hatred being spread from sea to shining sea?

Over the past week, there have been many people out in blogland (well, more like cyberspace in general) who have been tossing out supposed "facts" from the LA Times about illegal immigration. What's most amusing about all this is the US government can't even nail down figures when it comes to those who are here illegally, yet somehow some LA news source appears to have been able to. That right there was enough to get me to question the validity. Just as I thought - semi true at best and it clearly shows how this becomes a racial issue by targeting only Mexicans even though illegal immigrants come from all over the world.

Then we come to the issue of flag flying. A bunch of people have been making a big stink about the US flag being flown upside down with a Mexican flag over it. True, it did happen, however, the people blah blahing about it made it sound as though it was happening all over the country and the Mexican people were coming to take us away ha ha. In reality, it was one incident pulled off by some high school students.

Finally....the tax issue. Sure there are illegal immigrants mooching our welfare system. On the other hand, there are plenty of born and raised citizens doing the same damn thing. Is it right, no but it's not ever going to be completely avoidable either. Personally I've got a bigger beef with Uncle Sam giving the biggest chunk of my money (about 30%) to the military and sinking it into a floundering war we should have never started and been part of in the first place. Even at the highest estimation the moocher's are costing less than 1/6 what Dubya and his buddies are. YIKES!

And now for something completely different....

There's a guy I work with who has left me just short of wanting to pull my hair out. He's recently come on board to handle a portion of the biggest line I administrate for. This is an account where you have to be "on" at all times and there is no room for mistakes. Having worked with him on other lines and knowing how inefficient he could be, I was hesitant about him taking the new tasks over. Turns out my hesitation wasn't for not. The guy is horribly inefficient and it bugs the hell out of me when I have to take stuff back to him three, four, and sometimes more times just because he's too lazy to perform the tasks that I blatantly spell out for him. *RE*

I also got a laugh today. This new chic started training today as a retail supervisor. Now the guy who hired her was touting how wonderful her skills were and how well she knew Microsoft Office. Um well obviously she doesn't know as much as bossman thought because she couldn't even perform a simple mail function. Of course given some of the questions her boss has asked me about how to do stuff, I don't think it would take too much to impress him. Typical.

Oh and one more thing....Go to hell David Blaine. Yah, I know pretty harsh words but I've got my reasons.

Otay....I'm outta here.

Til next time...
