Who stunk up the shaft?
Exercise: Errand running and 45 minutes of skating. Can definitely tell it's been awhile since I've been out racing through the neighborhood. One song and I was winded. As long as the weather holds up, I'm going to have to start working it back in to the program.
So I'm minding my own business at work and I get this email from J-Lo that she sent to all of the admin this afternoon. She said one of the business managers (one that all of us pretty much can't stand because he's a drama whore and irritates the shit out of most people) came over to her desk to discuss something with her and let a huge ass fart rip. What's even worse is that she said he didn't even excuse himself. She said she knows people who have been raised that things like that aren't funny (not J-Lo and I - we're gross bitches. We point, laugh and make comments like, "Confucius say, "Man who farts in church sits in own pew."....lol) but that you at least say excuse me. Luckily she said the stench went with him. Of course that's when I reminded her of what George Carlin said about not being able to fart on one floor and leave it there. LOL
There's been a lot of talk going around about the fuel efficiency ratings on cars and how they are way off from the mileage the car actually gets. I'm beginning to think a lot of it may actually have to do with the way they are driven. My car is rated at 27 HWY and 18 City. Tonight I went to fill up a little scared of what the bill would be since I ran my tank down to nearly nothing and I have to buy premium. As it turned out, it only cost me a little over $30 (not really that much higher than what I was paying for my Sunfire) and I had driven 370 miles (also about the same as my Sunfire). Actually when I sat down and crunched the numbers, I still had about 3 gallons left in the tank and had been averaging 25 miles per gallon so I techically could have gone another 75 miles before it would have been completely out of gas. Now if you consider the fact that half of those miles were what would classify as "city miles", my car is actually doing better than the rating on the sticker. Of course my car is a manual and I have more control over how the gas gets used but even so it leaves me thinking that at least some of the whining is due to operator error rather than manufacturer puffing.
And now for something completely different......
Yep our Prez and other law makers decided to show what kind of boneheads they are yet again (yah, I know....it's pretty much a daily basis). Check this out.... http://news.com.com/Create+an+e-annoyance,+go+to+jail/2010-1028_3-6022491.html?tag=nefd.pop
Otay kiddies, I'm outta here.
Til next time....
