Someone out there has my same messed up sense of humor! :)
Exercise: Errand running since we were too busy over the weekend to get to the store.
Last night Chi and I watched this show on Comedy Central called Drawn Together. It's CC's new animated "reality show" where eight parodied cartoon stereotypes are placed in one house to live together. As disturbing and tactless as it is, I have to give the writer props for drudging up and referrencing one of the most obscure "skits" from Sesame Street. It's actually one that I have been known to do from time to time and get weird looks for because no one has any idea of what it's all about. It's where two aliens (one blue, one pink) come down to Earth and have an encounter with a telephone. What is most memorable about this "skit" is the two alien's form of communication. Yep yep yep yep uh huh uh huh. When the telephone rings, they then start making the ringing noise of the phone. The cartoon didn't go quite that far last night but it did show most of the characters standing around a phone and when it rings, they all start saying, "Yep yep yep yep uh huh uh huh". Oh and their mouths were drawn to take on the odd shape of the aliens too. I was completely busting a gut when I saw it and at first Chi had this funny look on his face. I explained to him what it was (I had told him about this SS bit before and he thought I was nuts) and said, "See, I'm not off my wig! There really was a bit like that!" His reaction..."Um yah" LOL
And now for something completely different......
Pirates attacking cruise ships and violence in Paris - Holy hell what is this world coming to! Of course when I heard the details about the whole pirate bit, it was almost commical. Three 25 foot boats taking on a cruiseliner. Uh, I guess someone forgot to tell the assholes they didn't have a chance. I mean it was like a Mini taking on a Viper in a race - laughable at best.
Otay....it be almost time for The Vicar Of Dibley so I shall be off oh and ooh looks like there is a metor shower to be seen. Will definitely have to keep my eye out for that. :)
