My week MIA
Exercise: 3 - 4 mile run - oh what a difference 20 degrees makes. Last night it was 80F when I went out and I was puffing after 2 miles. Tonight it was 60F and even after 3 miles, I was feelin' fine.
Wow! So it's been over a week since I last checked in. Sowwy....last week was really hectic. The first part of this week wasn't much better and to top it off, my printer got totally "fawked" on Monday. I was printing some labels and wouldn't you know one of the little bastards decided to peel off as it was going through the rollers. The labels I had were actually made for the type of printer I have but for some reason the adhesive on a couple of them just didn't hold up as it should have. I started internally stressing about it because I knew that there was no way the company would be able to buy me a replacement (at least not this year) and although I didn't absolutely have to have it to get my work done it was just REALLY inconvenient not to have it. Like with most things I initially freak out about (not that anyone would know because that's just how well I bottle it), the anxiety made way for logical problem solving. It used to be that deskjet printers were trashed when something like this happened, however, this particular one had an access panel on the back. I pulled it out and let me just say luck was with me that day. The label that got stuck was right there on the piece I pulled out and since it was the re-stickable kind, it pulled right off. I popped the panel back in and the printer was good as new. I was feeling so smug with myself and with what seemed to be luck on my side, I made sure to buy a lottery ticket that day. LOL I know the chances of winning aren't that great but hey, can't hurt to try now can it?
And now for something completely different.......
I've been watching Martha Stewart's Apprentice and I have to say that this is one show I really like and actually would seriously think about attempting to participate in. What was strange about tonight's episode though was the fact that I already knew the outcome of it. The two teams had to pitch/sell a new Wishbone salad dressing. Being in the food business and the account administrator for the manufacturer that makes this brand, I did the paperwork that needs to be done in order to cut an item into a grocery warehouse a few weeks ago.
One last little tidbit before I take off this eve. A big thank you to TBB for the belated birthday card. It gave me a laugh at a time when I really needed it. I also loved the magnet and have put it on my filing cabinet at work. :)
Til next time....
