Spam! Spam! Spam! Spam
Exercise: 100 push-ups, 200 crunches, and 50 leg lifts.
No, I'm not talking about that nasty said to be edible pressed crap in a blue can with yellow writing that is sung about in a Monty Python skit. I'm talking about all those unwanted emails that show up in your box whether you want them or not. Thankfully, I rarely have to put up with this when it comes to my "real" email account mainly because I don't give that one out to just anybody. I have a Yahoo account (amwise_prod@yahoo.com <---- for all you spammers out there) that I use if I am going to register for things and stuff. The really sad part of this is, I haven't registered for very many things but I swear I must get close to 1000 spam messages delivered to the bulk folder of that account every week. Oh and lots of time selecting the "unsubscribe" option only brings more spam in the end. YIKES!
So anyway, back to the real reason behind my little rant here. As I have mentioned, I am in the process of looking for a new car. I hate using online quoting services because you have to put all your information (name, address, phone number, email, blah blah blah) in but from all the research I have been doing, it's a good tool to use to get a good deal. Well, the other day I "applied" for my first quote. At the moment I hit the button I knew I would probably be sorry but I went through with it anyway. Not long afterward, I received my quote with a nice little message from the internet sales guy saying that I could contact him any time if I had questions. Ok fine, will do. I thought that would be the end of it but NOOOOOO at least once a day I kept getting mail from him or GM with that same general message of "let us know what we can do to help". Gee, desperate to sell a car are you? CHRIST! After a few days of this, I finally decided to send a message back. I asked the guy as nicely as I could muster to please not email me anymore. I then told him that the biggest annoyance of requesting internet quotes is the SPAM that follows. Finally, I said that being inundated with emails like that was enough to make me not even want to buy a car. LOL It's true too. You would think in the day and age when we have things like a national do not call list that everyone scrambles to get on businesses would get a brain and realize most of us don't like the "in your face" tactic - The men of Def Leppard excluded of course ;)
Rockstar INXS - YAY! They got rid of Jessica. 'Bout time. I'm not the type who usually kicks people when there down but this chic should have been gone a long time ago! The top three didn't surprise me - neither did the bottom three. None of the "blondies" as I call them are a good fit in my opinion. I'm thinking the top 4 is going to consist of MiG, Jordis, Ty, and Marty. JD knows how to perform well but I just don't think people are going to go for the arrogant personality he has and I would be surprised if the guys in the bad would either. If God forbid he wins, I won't be buying any more INXS albums or attend any of their concerts.
And now for something completely different.....
My Chi can be such a good boy to me. He managed to get a copy of a CD many people in a certain "community" I am part of have been itching to hear for months now and are getting more anxious to get their hands on everyday because the artist has delayed the release date. From what I have heard so far - it's good....better than I was expecting. :)
