Whew! What a weekend!

Exercise: None - my sunburn hurts too bad

The Reader's Digest version of my weekend....

Got up early Saturday to golfing for five hours against my better judgment and received a weird ass sunburn because I used cheap ass sun screen that dripped off with the sweat.
Saturday evening picked up The South Side Boyfriend and went to visit The Bitchy Babe two hours down the road. Got introduced to a band called The Dan Reed Network as we drove - I like them.
Went to Olive Garden for dinner and had WAY more fun than anyone should be allowed to have especially in a restaurant.
Scooped the local loop and replayed the Bohemian Rhapsody scene from Wayne's World.
Went back to The Bitchy Babe's abode for awhile where I was subjected to the viewing of Poison vids and various chatter. Oh yah, we at cake too - kind of a late celebration of The Bitchy Babe's birthday.
Left The Bitchy Babe's digs close to 4am and didn't get back home until after 6. I'm surprised I wasn't fighting sleep more than I was on the way back. I only had 5 hours sleep the night before and had been up nearly 24 hours straight.
Paid for my weekend fun on Sunday with the headache from hell. Ah well, it was worth it. ;)

And now for something completely different.....

This evening when I was watching the news, I heard that Eric Rudolph received a life sentence (as he should) for his bombing activities which included the Olympic Games in Atlanta and an abortion clinic. After hearing part of a statement he made, my jaw just dropped to the floor. He said that the sort of force he used is needed to prevent the murder of innocent children being aborted. Talk about a total WTF? moment! Bombing a place and potentially killing people is preventing murder? Um ok that makes tons of sense and I can really see the logic there. What really pisses me off is people like this go on and on about abortion being murder yet think it is perfectly alright to send our young people off to a foreign country to fight a war and be killed. I guess because they were actually allowed to breathe outside the womb for a short time it's ok to kill them. FEH!

Ok now that I have had my little rant for the day I'm going to be on my way now.
