And then there were two -
Exercise: 2 mile run, 20 push ups, 50 leg lifts, 80 crunches
Today at 10:02am two of the dorms at my Alma Mater (Iowa State University) were imploded. I never lived in either of the residence halls that went down but one of my friends did. Given how bad those places were ten years ago, I can only imagine with the additional wear and tear how they had deteriorated. As bad as they were, I still felt a little sad watching them come down and it's going to be strange driving to get my haircut since I always passed them along the way. Click here to read/watch.
In other Iowa State/Ames news, there was a dead body found in a creek I walk by on the way from the parking lot to the salon. Hearing that bit of news and finding out it was a place I walk by every time I'm up there was just plain weird.
I watched Dubya give his little schpeal about the new justice he has appointed and I couldn't help but laugh when John Roberts to give his blah blah and he actually came across as a much more effective speaker. Definitely not a good thing when the Prez is upstaged by someone else but then again, given who he is, there are very few that wouldn't do that. LOL Seriously though, the fucker better not even look like he is going to be part of overturning Roe V Wade.
I also decided to watch I Want To Be A Hilton. There wasn't much else on and I was curious what the show was like. Boy have I NOT been missing anything. What a total cheese whiz show. I mean the one chic turns on the tears (wouldn't you know it would be the one named Nikki who looks like she could be one of the Hilton sisters) and gets Mrs. Hilton to weep then one of the other chics does the same thing. I'm a very sensitive person by nature but sorry folks I ain't buyin this shit. I don't doubt these two chics had upsetting experiences in their lives and all but it just played off as a little too hokey.
At the moment I'm watching Rock Star: INXS. The first four were decent. I think Ty got a raw deal when it came to the comments he was given. I also liked J.D.'s performance tonight and the way he reworked Hand In My Pocket. Neal completely SUCKED! Please don't let that man near a guitar and a Bryan Adams song again - he slaughters them! Brandon wasn't the best in my opinion but at least he could play a guitar and sing unlike Neal. I'm still not to thrilled about the possibility of a woman leading the band but it might not be so bad if it were Jordis that were picked.
