That Be Some Wicked Ass Shit!
Exercise: None - Gee weather issues AGAIN!
I don't know what the deal was last night but I couldn't get to sleep just like the night before (angry peas might eat me...LOL). I've had an odd night here and there where it would take me awhile to get to sleep but never like the last couple of nights and never more than one night at a time. I was dead tired at work but fully awake after I got home. Of course the fact that we had some pretty awesome looking storms swirling over our house (complete with tornado warning for our county) probably helped (Denny was the unfortunate soul who got the play by play...LOL). It looked like something that came from hell but while it was over our house, it acted like a pussycat (we even got a huge double rainbow). I guess after it got a few miles north it started dropping some pea (oh no not more peas!) - golfball sized hail for shits and giggles (ha ha). I just tuned into one of the local channels for the news...seems the bastard did actually pop down a tornado a few counties south and east of here.
So....the big news today is that MJ has been acquitted. I know this has a lot of people angry (definitely all my co-workers that I heard talking about it), but I can see why they had to let him go. I have a feeling that something went on at the ranch, but I don't know if it was as drastic as what he has been accused of. It all goes back to the first trial and the fact that the family never went after him in a criminal case - only a civil one. If it is your child, no amount of money can bring justice for something like that.
More than anything, I think the acquittal has to do with the "rules" the jury is given when deliberating. I can remember when I served on a jury. Although I thought the people who were accused, were guilty of some things, we were only allowed to take into considerations those things directly related to the charges. Something like that combined with the sort of witnesses the prosecution had, I could see anyone having "reasonable doubt" and that's all that is needed to let someone go.
Well kiddies, I must be on my way. I've got a small bowl of ice cream calling me (mmmmm peanut butter tracks (GOOOOD Stuff Mayne Mayne) - yet another "benefit" of working in the food business....LOL).
Til next time....
