Depressing.....

Exercise: 50 push ups, 50 leg lifts, and 200 crunches

On the way home from work this afternoon, I passed a livestock truck full of cows and couldn't help but have a sinking feeling in my heart. I guess what gets me is remembering the story my brother told after working a day in a slaughter house (that's all he could handle) and knowing the animals I saw were on their way to their death. He wasn't at the exact location where the animals were killed but he was the one who guided them into chute. It was enough to leave him looking like death warmed over. I personally don't eat beef or pork (I can't stand the thought of eating such lovable creatures and I just don't like the taste) but I'm not someone to tell another person they shouldn't do it. The one thing that really pisses me off about all of it though is the excess killing of these animals and the fact that the cows which are slaughtered for meat are not the same ones whose hides are used for leather because the slaughtering process them.

And now for something completely different......

I'm watching Air Force One on one of the local stations. I've never seen it before (I know, I need to get with the times....LOL) but if you ask me, the effects are hokey as hell. I don't know....maybe it's because it isn't on the big screen but the part in the beginning where they are driving the plane around on the runway and cornering it like it's on rails just seems pretty far fetched. LOL

Ok...movie is back on so I will be on my way now.
