Crack that whip!

Exercise: None - weather is crap

Give the past a slip. Step on a crack. Break your mama's back. When a problem comes along, you must whip it. Before the cream sits out too long, you must whip it.....

Oh hi, I didn't see you there. I'm supposed to be writing a blog post aren't I? Sowwy. I've had that song running through my head ever since Friday evening when I heard it on the radio. I can't help it, it's just one of those catchy tunes that takes me back to when I used to skate at the rink all the time when I was a kid.

So anyway.....here we are in the middle of yet another thunderstorm and one of our cats is totally freaking out at the bright flashes of lightning. The doofus is running around the house like a little crazy man. It's funny because our other cat is lying in on the bed watching him with this look on her face as though she can't believe she and he are "related". How UNCIVILIZED! LOL

Friday I got off work at noon and came home so that I could let in the woman who was coming to do our drywall repair - yes, they are only just now getting around to it AGAIN. At least this time some work was actually done. Of course she said that she would probably have to come back two or three more times to complete it since a full day can't be dedicated to it. There was something though that rather torqued me off. The woman had called to set up the appointment for 1pm about a week before so I made sure I was here at that time. 1 came and went - she didn't show up. She then called me around 20 past to tell me that she would be here between 2:30 and 3 as though we had never set an actual time to begin with - only a day. WTF? With the way these people do things, I'm amazed they can stay in business. Since we live in a townhome and the association is paying for this, we don't get a choice who we use but lemme tell you, if a choice were an option, it wouldn't be the one we were given. I mean the woman is nice and all and seems fairly knowledgeable but I'm not impressed with the lack of promptness.

Saturday was spent chatting for a bit with Denny, napping, and finishing the cleaning - the master bath to be specific. Thankfully, the other two bathrooms had been done the day before because the master bath is equivalent to cleaning two average sized bathrooms.

This morning, I woke up at something like 6:30 which was surprising since it took me forever to fall asleep (I went to bed at 2 and I think it was 3 or so before I dozed off) because I had a headache from hell that had been mildly around off and on since Friday afternoon. Normally, I can either think them away or sleep them off but not this time. It was still present when I woke up. I tried for about 10 minutes to think it away and go back to sleep but it was no good so I wandered down to the kitchen for some Excedrin. One word of advice.....never take this stuff and then go to sleep. I had one of the strangest dreams I think I have ever had this morning after I took it. It started off normal enough, the Englishman and I had gone back to England to visit his family but later on it had turned into one with an appearance by this person and a few cans of peas of all things - don't ask...it was some wacky schtuff. Oh well....at least when I woke up for good about 9:30, my headache was gone.

I had another chat with Denny and then vegged most of the afternoon between loads of laundry. After this past week, I deserved it. LOL

Well, that's about it from here for now.
