Grease Is The Word.....

Last night I went out with a couple of friends to see the stage production of Grease. Maybe it was me but I just wasn't that impressed. It was loosely based on the movie and there were other songs added that weren't in the movie. I also didn't think the people playing the parts of Danny and Sandy were all that great. They just didn't seem like very strong singers and sounded as though they had a few pitch problems. I guess after seeing Tommy the rock opera and Les Miserables, I just haven't been able to find anything that comes close.

The other news from yesterday is that I talked to Steph. It seems she has been able to convince me to at least make one Lep show this year. I was just going to pass especially since I thought the shows at the ballparks were going to be those in which there was a game afterward and the closest seat was miles away from the stage. Yes, I know, I really should read the OS more - so flog me. Anyway, with all the talk about road-tripping and after finding out Ant isn't going to be able to get a week off during the summer to go to Vegas, I figured what the hell. I know I can get the vacation time and I really would like to be able to go somewhere during the warm months. Now the biggest question is - which ones. Steph and I talked about the shows in Madison, Davenport, and NY (amazingly, there are some really good fares to be had) but I don't know which I will be attending yet. I'm still trying to get the financials surrounding the bad ass computer Ant wants to build from him before I start planning anything. I still have to be a little mindful because I am still planning to buy a new car at the end of the year (decided end of this year rather than early next year so I can reap the tax benefits on our next return). Oh by the way, that reminds me....I have found another car to add to the list of possibilities - a Pontiac Solstice roadster. Sweet looking car similar to a Porsche Boxter but about $20,000 less. Downside - it's a 4 cylinder.

As for today, I watched one of my all time favorite movies - Everafter. Drool drool slurp slurp - Dougray Scott - YUMMY *SIGH* LOL

I'm now watching the "encore performance" of the first Revelations episode (missed it the first time around). I'm not into religion and that sort of stuff, however, I saw the previews and it looked interesting. Kind of like the De Vinci code. After hearing all the hype about it, my curiosity has been piqued enough that I think I would like to read it. That's something coming from me too because I don't like books/reading much unless it's non-fiction about a subject I'm really interested in.
