Well kiddies, I don't have much time to blabber tonight so I'm sad to say the Lep adventures are going to once again be put off.
Yesterday we received some pretty crappy news at work - more layoffs in May. They don't know how many people will be let go but since we only have six people in the office that it can effect, it's not a good deal. Every time we have gone through these times before I have been very confident that I would keep my job but this time I'm feeling 50/50. My skills are top notch so I know if I were one of the "chosen" ones it wouldn't be because of poor performance. I don't know, depending on how they look at things, I can see being excellent at what I do harming or helping. Either way I have decided to look at this from the positive side - that being that it has given me that kick in the butt to go look for a new and better job. For the last few years now, I just haven't felt as though my full potential has been sourced where I am at. I always take any opportunities that come along to do something new and different but they don't seem to come along that often and there comes a point where the same old same old bores you to death so much that even working with some of the best bunch of people you could ask for isn't enough to keep you interested.
In a completely unrelated morsel of news......
I would like to kill my husband's co-worker named Jerry. This guy records The Jerry Springer Show (Yes, I did "say" Jerry Springer of White Trash Whores Galore fame) everyday. If that isn't bad enough, he has now become an influence on Ant enough that he is now doing it. And the British are thought to be so civilized. I guess the fact that they "booed" Jerry Springer the stage show says nothing about expats who find it on tv. LOL BAD JERRY! BAD! BAD! LMAO
