Memories of days of old.
One of the last times I went to my parents' house, my mom gave me a bag of goodies that she found when she was cleaning out the basement. Last night was the first time I had time to go through it. It had lots of different little things in it which I had collected and made throughout the years. There were two little stuffed Dilbert characters my mom gave me, a couple of miniature dresses (one made of paper, the other of cloth) that I made just for the hell of it during my college days, a book from one of my college design classes, and my old screen printing frame. All of these things brought back a lot of fond memories but it was the last item I pulled from the bag that really gave me a good laugh.
When I was in high school, I became a member of the now defunct Def Leppard fan club called the Rock Squad. If I remember correctly (and because this was about 15 years ago, I'm not putting any money on that. LOL), when you signed up, you sent a 2 x 2 photo of yourself and the club would return it on a laminate pass for the club. I've included a scan of it but I'll be dammed if I am going to let anyone see the picture of me that was on it. LOL Seeing this pass again made me reflect back on the years I have been a fan of this band and figured I what better place to write about it than on my blog so keep watching this space. Some time within the next few days, I will be posting about the last twenty years of my Def Leppard experiences.
Here are a couple of pics of the cloth dress......

And here are the scans of the laminated pass......

Righty ro kiddies, I'm off to watch some soup cook.
Til next time!
